Christine Butler moved to New Hampshire with her husband in 2011 and since then has brought her creativity and panache to the Free State Project! She’s been a volunteer, event planner, producer, and more. We are proud to have her on our team and so glad she made the move.
Growing up in Iowa, Christine worked as a florist and event planner while raising her 2 children. After moving to North Carolina and living there for 11 years, she found a link to the FSP and moved 3 months later! Since the move, she’s been a volunteer or on the event planning team of 5 Liberty Forums and 6 PorcFests, and Produced both events once. LF in 2017, PF in 2014.
In 2015 she created the Event Star Recognition Program for past event producers. This ongoing program provides a chance for our Producers to be honored for their hard work and dedication to managing these FSP showcase events. Without these Porcupines, and the volunteer teams they manage, there wouldn’t be Liberty Forum or PorcFest!
She eventually had to scale back to catch up on family things, but feels grateful for the opportunity to have been a volunteer, a donor and a doer. She states, “Working with the FSP and living the concepts of liberty, freedom and voluntary interactions have become part of regular daily life. I’m glad I made the move.
“I’m most proud to be part of the community here in NH. The people here are some of the best I’ve ever known. Many have become family instead of friends. I feel most blessed when the chairs around my table are filled with the Porcupines I love.”
Our community has blossomed since you’ve moved here Christine and your volunteer hours (and hours!) have helped make the Free State Project what it is today! Your attention to detail and kind spirit has taught me much and I thank you for sharing your talent with us.
