Our friend Curt Howland is just that, a friend indeed. He is a father, first and foremost, but he is a tried and true friend. He is always available to lend a helping hand when it’s needed. Ask any new mover and they will tell you that Curt was there with a smile, willing to unload the heavy stuff!

Before Curt made his move with the Free State Project, he was a professional father and self-taught economist, doing some computer networking and writing the occasional letter to the editor (LTE). Not being able to bring the kids with him to New Hampshire has been heartbreaking, but that doesn’t keep him from helping others! Curt also likes to talk politics, so LTE’s are something he continues to do, many times pointing out the absurdities of government spending and overreach.

We’re so thankful for the time and energy that Curt puts into his activism. Not only does he write some kick-ass LTE’s, but he also waves signs, stuffs envelopes, picks up trash, and generally makes himself available for whatever’s needed by the next Liberty Activist. His strong shoulders carry a heavy burden, but he shares his strength with us, and I hope he knows we would do the same for him.

Jealous? Don’t be! All you have to do is reach out and volunteer! We need more people like Curt, so please consider volunteering. And the next time you see Curt, make sure to #ThankAFreeStater.
